Having served Carroll County for the previous five years has served as a great spring board for my current position as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools. As with all smaller districts central office staff has to wear many hats. I also serve the district as the Secondary Supervisor and Chief Academic Officer. Before taking this position I was the principal at Carroll County Middle School. During my tenure as principal the staff made many dramatic changes, which led to great improvement in student achievement. I believe the greatest contributor to the increase was the move to a professional learning community.
I am the proud husband of Dawn Hogan of Owenton, KY, who is a special education teacher at Cartmell Elementary here Carroll County. I have two wonderful children, Quincy and Isaiah. They are without a doubt my greatest accomplishment as an individual.
I look forward to many continued years of service at Carroll County, and I believe we will continue to improve education in Carroll County for all students.

- Chief Recruitment for school personnel
- Work with the Middle School and High School Administrative Teams in the areas of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment at Secondary Schools
- Work in collaboration with Special Education Director to oversee Special Education within the school system.
- Oversee the Family Resource Youth Service Center
- Work in collaboration with Elementary Supervisor for all curriculum, instruction and assessment at the Elementary Schools
