The district makes every effort to open school each day. However, we must cancel school if weather conditions place students in danger or predicted conditions may place students or staff in danger. It is not easy to make the right call each time there is a snow, but history is on our side in that we have not had weather related accidents in the past.

The district has Plan B which is a main road pick-up that may be announced on local radio. If the district has missed two or more days and the main roads are clear, it may be necessary to call Plan B. A local radio announcement will be made and parents are requested to call your driver to determine where alternate bus stops and child pick-up points are located.
The school district is providing a list of Radio and T.V. stations that carry school closings and alternate schedules. The local radio stations have always assisted us with announcements about early dismissal and Plan B. Please do not telephone the radio stations for school closing information. Early dismissal may be necessary when the state police advise us that road conditions are deteriorating and predict roads will get worse. Parents need to assist the schools by making alternative plans for your children in case of early dismissal, one hour delay, or Plan B. |

Tune to these TV & Radio stations for the latest closings and delays when incliment weather hits the area.
