Mission Statement: 

The Carroll County Child Development Center will provide a quality education/health/social services program to ensure an opportunity for all preschool-aged children, who qualify for our services and their families to develop life skills, self-worth, and a love for learning through developmentally-appropriate activities in a warm, caring, positive environment.”

Board approves 2% raises for all staff, Moves forward with CCHS Baseball/Softball restroom project

Carrollton, Ky. — April 22, 2022 — At its April 21 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education approved a 2% raise for all certified and classified Carroll County School District employees, in addition to the step increase employees receive for each year of service. Also, in an effort to bring the district’s salary schedule in line with surrounding school districts, some classified positions in the district were also increased beyond that to make them more comparable to what surrounding districts pay. This is one of the largest raises the district has given to employees in recent years, with typical annual raises hovering around 1%.

Andrew cleared the rigorous GSP selection process, which brings students together from across the state at summer residential programs. With a mission "to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders," the Governor's Scholars Program is designed to show the state's best students that Kentucky is full of opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

The district will recognize Andrew at the May 4 Rotary Academic Banquet, and he will also be featured in an article in The News Democrat. We are proud to have Andrew represent us at GSP!

Board names Casey Jaynes new superintendent Superintendent Casey Jaynes

Carrollton, Ky. — April 12, 2022 — At its April 12 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education named Casey Jaynes the next superintendent of the Carroll County School District. The board offered the position to Jaynes by unanimous consent, and he officially begins his duties July 1.

 

“I am honored to have been selected for this position, and I am excited to meet the students, staff, and community of Carroll County,” Jaynes said. “I grew up in Madison, so I know that Carroll County is a wonderful place. Many thanks to the board for giving me this amazing opportunity to help lead a great school district.”

District selected for inclusion in Innovative Learning Network

Carrollton, Ky. - January 26, 2022 - The Carroll County School District has been selected to participate in the Kentucky Innovative Learning Network through the Kentucky Department of Education. The program allows district administrators to collaborate with other school administrators from across the state to share innovative strategies and tactics that lead to "learner-centered, collaborative, equitable, and authentic learning opportunities." Participating districts have access to national educational partners as well as funds that can be used to visit exemplary school districts.
