Distance learning to continue beginning Jan. 4

Carrollton, Ky. - December 18, 2020 - As a result of a rising COVID-19 infection rate in Carroll County as well as a recommendation from Gov. Beshear, Carroll County School District students will not return to in-person instruction on January 4, 2021. This applies to all schools and students in the Carroll County School District. District administrators will monitor the situation in the coming weeks before making a decision about when to return to in-person instruction.

Athletics programs will continue to follow KHSAA guidelines, which allow for winter sports practices through December. Athletic competitions may resume January 4.

Food to be delivered to students

Carrollton, Ky. - November 24, 2020 - Starting Monday, Nov. 30, school district vehicles will deliver food to the homes of all Carroll County School District students who reside in Carroll County. Deliveries will be made once per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Each delivery will consist of five school breakfasts and five school lunches per child. For the safety of our employees and of families, deliveries will be left at the front door of each residence.

“We are pleased to offer this service to our students,” said Chief Financial Officer Jon Conrad. “This has been a challenging year for many of our students and their families. We are committed to doing our part to help everyone get through the COVID-19 crisis together.”

Families can opt out of food deliveries if they wish to do so. To opt out, please call 502-662-0569 or email Lisa.Gault@carroll.kyschools.us. Families who wish to receive food deliveries do not need to take any action.
