Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) releases annual School Report Card data for 2020-2021

Carrollton, Ky. — October 18, 2021 — The Kentucky Department of Education has released testing accountability information for schools across Kentucky for the 2020-2021 school year.

Test to Stay

We know that last year was tough, but we’re excited to get back into the classroom this fall. We are committed to taking the necessary steps to help us have a safe return to school. As part of those steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep our schools open for in-person learning, we will offer a free COVID-19 Testing Program for students and staff of Carroll County Schools. Regular testing will help protect our students, staff, family members, and others who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 or are otherwise at risk for getting seriously sick from COVID-19.

Miles to lead transportation department Randal Miles is the new director of transportation for the Carroll County School District

Carrollton, Ky. - Sept. 20, 2021 - Randal Miles is the new director of transportation for the Carroll County School District. Miles is a Carroll County native and graduate of Carroll County High School. He comes to the district from the Dow Chemical Corporation.

"We are excited to have Mr. Miles lead our transportation department," said Mark Willhoite, chief operations officer. "He comes to us with a wealth of safety and vehicle experience across a range of industries in our area. Transportation is a big part of what we do each day. Having someone like Mr. Miles on our team is a win for our kids and our community."

Masks still required

In order to fight the spread of Covid-19, masks are still required in the Carroll County School District. This applies to all individuals — students, staff, and visitors — regardless of whether those individuals are vaccinated or unvaccinated. This rule applies inside all district buildings, schools, and buses.

We appreciate your support as we continue to work through this pandemic together.

Seamless Summer Option

Carroll County Schools will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option of National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.

As part of this program, Kathryn Winn Primary, Cartmell Elementary, Carroll County Middle School and Carroll County High School will offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to all enrolled students for school year 2021-2022.

Students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a household application. For more information, you may call Lisa Gault at 502-732-9362 or e-mail at lisa.gault@carroll.kyschools.us.
