Updated Reopening Plan and Learning Options

Parents, Guardians, and Community Members:

As always, we appreciate your patience and support as we work to make this a great school year for our students!

With recent changes, including classes being held through a Distance Learning model for the first nine weeks, we have updated our Reopening Plan.

Also, we have created a document to clarify the differences among In-Person Learning, Distance Learning, and Virtual School.

Thank you!

Distance learning approved for first nine weeks

At its July 23 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education approved Superintendent Danny Osborne's recommendation to hold classes under a distance-learning model for the first nine weeks.

The Board also approved the 2020-2021 school calendar.

Parents and guardians will be receiving a phone call from their child's school to discuss options going forward.

We appreciate everyone's patience with all of the changes, and we are looking forward to the school year!

I want to emphasize that this is just a snapshot of the precautions we are taking to maximize the safety of students and staff during this pandemic. As circumstances change, our Task Force will meet and adjust our protocols and procedures accordingly.”

The following safety protocols will be in place for students and staff when school begins in the fall:
