Student technology leaders on the rise

Carrollton, Ky. – May 3, 2022 – Three teams of Carroll County School District students competed against 14,000 other participants at this year’s Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) in late April. Cartmell Elementary (Coach Joseph Shipman), Carroll County Middle School (Coach Larisa Leap), and Carroll County High School (Coach Lynn Eaglin and Nancy Hilton) all fielded teams.

Current / New Student Registration

Beginning today, Monday, May 2nd, parents/guardians can log into Infinite Campus and update and confirm their student's information for the 2022-2023 school year.  All students are required to have an updated enrollment for each school year. Please complete this by May 27, 2022.


Current students will register by logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account and clicking on Online Registration. If you do not remember your username or password, you can request your information here.

Board approves 2% raises for all staff, Moves forward with CCHS Baseball/Softball restroom project

Carrollton, Ky. — April 22, 2022 — At its April 21 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education approved a 2% raise for all certified and classified Carroll County School District employees, in addition to the step increase employees receive for each year of service. Also, in an effort to bring the district’s salary schedule in line with surrounding school districts, some classified positions in the district were also increased beyond that to make them more comparable to what surrounding districts pay. This is one of the largest raises the district has given to employees in recent years, with typical annual raises hovering around 1%.

Andrew cleared the rigorous GSP selection process, which brings students together from across the state at summer residential programs. With a mission "to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders," the Governor's Scholars Program is designed to show the state's best students that Kentucky is full of opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

The district will recognize Andrew at the May 4 Rotary Academic Banquet, and he will also be featured in an article in The News Democrat. We are proud to have Andrew represent us at GSP!

Board names Casey Jaynes new superintendent Superintendent Casey Jaynes

Carrollton, Ky. — April 12, 2022 — At its April 12 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Education named Casey Jaynes the next superintendent of the Carroll County School District. The board offered the position to Jaynes by unanimous consent, and he officially begins his duties July 1.


“I am honored to have been selected for this position, and I am excited to meet the students, staff, and community of Carroll County,” Jaynes said. “I grew up in Madison, so I know that Carroll County is a wonderful place. Many thanks to the board for giving me this amazing opportunity to help lead a great school district.”

Osborne takes leave — Ray steps up to superintendent designee

Carrollton, Ky. — April 1, 2022 — Thursday, March 31, was Superintendent Danny Osborne’s last day in the Carroll County School District. Assistant Superintendent Jonica Ray is filling in as superintendent designee until the Carroll County Board of Education selects a replacement and until that replacement begins his or her duties.

District selected for inclusion in Innovative Learning Network

Carrollton, Ky. - January 26, 2022 - The Carroll County School District has been selected to participate in the Kentucky Innovative Learning Network through the Kentucky Department of Education. The program allows district administrators to collaborate with other school administrators from across the state to share innovative strategies and tactics that lead to "learner-centered, collaborative, equitable, and authentic learning opportunities." Participating districts have access to national educational partners as well as funds that can be used to visit exemplary school districts.

District selected for curriculum pilot

Carrollton, Ky. - Jan. 26, 2022 - The Carroll County School District has been chosen to participate in a pilot program to help school districts in Kentucky develop and align curriculum. The Kentucky Department of Education said in a release that "The pilot program will assist Kentucky’s schools and districts as they develop a standards-aligned local curriculum that includes high-quality instructional resources and is aligned to the process established in the Model Curriculum Framework." The program will run through June 2023.

Board approves 2022-2023 school calendar

The Carroll County Board of Education approved the 2022-2023 school calendar at its December 16 meeting.
