Vaccination clinics are scheduled in December at the middle and high schools.

The vaccines will be administered by the Three Rivers Health Department. The school district and the health department have partnered to work toward getting all students current on their vaccinations. The clinic is only for those students who are not up to date on the vaccinations required by the Kentucky Department of Education. Students can also receive the HPV vaccine at this clinic if they are receiving another required vaccine. COVID-19 vaccinations are not being offered.

“As new diseases arise, it is important to stay up to date on your vaccinations so we keep the old diseases in the past,” said District Health Coordinator Alyssa Walls. “The old diseases are still around and we have seen cases of them recently nationwide, including in our own community. Please be proactive to keep children and staff safe and healthy.”

Packets with information and permission slips have been sent home with students. They must be returned by Nov. 16.

The high school clinic will be on Dec. 4 while the middle school clinic will be Dec. 6.
