
CCHS administrators had a good time at homecoming festivities Friday night. Principal Amy Sutter joined students to cheer on the Panthers while Assistant Principal David Craig and long-time friend Carrollton Police Chief Mike Willhoite took advantage of a beautiful photo backdrop to recreate the Step Brothers poster.



February is CTE (Career and Technical Education) Month. Here's a snapshot of what is happening in the carpentry class at the Carroll County Area Technology Center. Students are working on a two-year Tiny House project as well as creating projects.

Congratulations to all members of the CCHS Homecoming Court. They include Freshman Prince Nik Brown and Princess Hannah Weedman; Sophomore Prince Yerson Aguilar and Princess Kait Maiden; Junior Prince Teague Walls and Princess Cierrah Schaub; Senior Queen candidates Kayley Cates, Robin Dillard, Madi Hicks, KaiLeah Howard and Mayra Nava Sanchez; Senior King candidates Ross Crawford, Seth Franklin, Landon Groves, Braden Stephenson and Gage Stone.

Madi Hicks and Ross Crawford were crowned Carroll County High School Homecoming Queen and King tonight. Congratulations to these Panthers!

CCHS held a pep rally today in advance of tonight's homecoming games against Henry County. Games begin at 6 p.m. The king and queen will be crowned between the girls' and boys' games. Students played a game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos with the juniors taking first place and the basketball players also competed in a game of Knockout against the staff. Carroll County ATC Student Advisor Chad Rose learned how to weld today thanks to the help of Dillan Human and Lyric McKinney. Rose mentioned to them that he would like to learn to weld, so they offered to teach him.
“This was my first time holding a welding torch, so everything was new to me,” Rose said. “I learned how to set up my welding rod, how to strike an arc, how to lay a bead and several other things.”

Logan Perdue, Dillan Human, Lyric McKinney and Caleb Richardson have earned spots in the regional welding skills competition to be held in Frankfort next week. Good luck to these Carroll County Area Technology Center students!

Homecoming is tomorrow night! The king and queen will be crowned between games. The Lady Panthers play at 6 and the Panthers play at 7:30. Come support all of our Panthers!

The McDonald's Corporation, to include the Carrollton McDonald's, donated $750 to the CCHS boys' and girls' basketball programs. The money will be split equally between the teams. Thank you for your generosity!

Senior members of the CCHS Panthers basketball team and cheerleading squad were recognized tonight. Another Senior Night will be held tomorrow before the Lady Panthers basketball game at 6 p.m.


The water line damaged at CCHS has been clamped by Carrollton Utilities. The high school, Cartmell and ATC will be under a boil water advisory for 24 hours. Bottled water will be delivered to those schools. The Senior Night festivities and games will remain as planned tonight.
