Final numbers are still being calculated, but Carroll County Schools collected more than 4,500 food items for the Carroll County Food Pantry last week. Great job Panthers!!



Carroll County Schools was represented Saturday at the Eastern Kentucky University football game against Stephen F. Austin State University. Nine members of the CCHS Marching Band got to be Marching Colonel for a Day, some of our football players watched the game and several CCHS alumni were among the band and cheerleaders for Eastern. Carroll County High School art students worked on sculptures and clay recently with the aid of styrofoam heads.

Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes is hosting an open meeting at Hos Coffee on Dec. 1 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. All are invited to attend to discuss Carroll County Schools. Please join us!


Pre-Nursing students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center used a game of Simon Says to learn range of motion exercises that are required skills in their Student Registered Nurse Assistant class/Medical Nurse Assistant class.
The skills include range of motion for shoulder, hip, wrist and elbow. Students will take a certification test in December that, if passed, will allow them to begin working in their career field.
They also practiced care skills such as feeding patients, transitioning from bed to wheelchair, helping dress patients and taking blood pressure.

Several members of the CCHS Panthers football team were named to the All-District Team.
Congratulations to Parker Mumphrey, Braden Stephenson, Zayn Satchwell, Mikey Sewell, Malachi Embers, Johnny Scherder, Garrison Brumback, Dalton Crawford, Bryson Chadwell and Gavin Pella.

Five Carroll County High School football players have been named to the NCKC All-Conference Team.
Congratulations to Zayn Satchwell (RB), Malachi Embers (WR), Garrison Brumback (DB), Johnny Scherder (LB), and Parker Mumphrey (Punter).

The Carroll County Area Technology Center's HOSA Chapter held a blood drive last week. The group organized the drive for students within the ATC and Carroll County High School. A total of 19 pints of blood was collected.
