⭐️ This morning we had our September LEADER IN ME assembly ⭐️ KWP staff reviewed our school expectations and procedures with our students! Our office staff each took a school expectation and acted it out for all of our students! Mrs. Monroe and Mrs. Dunn did a skit on being PROACTIVE (Habit #1) about being a water bottle kid or a soda kid and learning about being proactive and not reactive with our emotions! ⭐️Thank you to our KWP staff for synergzing together to create skits for our students! ⭐️ ~ MORE PICTURES ON FACEBOOK

Today is Custodian Appreciation Day. Thank you to all of our custodial staff for their tireless efforts to take care of our schools, staff and students. We appreciate all you do! Thank you Steven Howard, Caleb Grathler, Troy Barr, Kathleen Sowards, Melissa Walker, Michael Wood, Roger Carter, Christopher Riney, Misty Stephens, Timothy Vereen, Amanda Wagers, David Young, Richard Brooks, Donald Harlow, Amy Lapish, Betty Sherman, Joann Snow, Stephan Turocy, Adan Bautista and Amanda Lawson.

Kathryn Winn and Head Start students are returning to their buildings. Residual smoke from a nearby brush fire had permeated the school. No fire or smoke was located within the school and all staff and students are safe.

Students at Kathryn Winn and Head Start have been evacuated while maintenance researches the source of smoke within the Head Start side of the building. All students are safe. We will keep you updated.

October is National Principal Appreciation Month. We would like to thank and recognize all of our principals for their dedication and commitment to their students. They each work hard to improve our schools and help our students succeed. Thank you to our principals!

Scott's Miracle Gro is collecting a tractor-trailer of supplies for Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina and Tennessee. The items on this flyer are being accepted through October 9.

LUNCH MENU CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK: Monday (9/30): Today's lunch will be chicken patties on bun. Tuesday (10/1): Pizza Crunchers Wednesday (10/2): Uncrustables Thursday (10/3): Orange Chicken Friday (10/4) will remain the same.

Attendance H.E.R.O "Fist Bump Friday" is re-scheduled for Friday, October 5th. Special guests will be here greeting students arriving before 8:00 AM

Due to anticipated severe weather, school will be closed today, Friday, Sept. 27. Student safety comes first. Stay weather aware and remain safe.

Panther families, our district is working closely with local emergency management officials to monitor the anticipated weather events.

The food services staff at Kathryn Winn work hard every day to prepare delicious food and serve the children with a smile on their faces. Thank you to these ladies for their dedication to KWP!

One more shout out to our Carroll County staff selected as Best Practice presenters at the recent statewide Continuous Improvement Summit. They are pictured with Commissioner of Education Robbie Fletcher. Great things are happening in Carroll County Schools!
