Podcast description

When Carroll County Schools' Panther Path initiative was featured on a national Education Week podcast, it gave district leaders Jeannie Rohrer and Amanda New a chance to share the work happening in Carroll County with a wider audience.

The opportunity came through OTUS, the district's data platform, after Education Week learned about Carroll County's Portrait of a Learner work. Although the presentation was originally planned as a webinar, technical issues led to it becoming a podcast.

Rohrer and New worked together to explain the history, development and future of Panther Path.

"I think it speaks to the work we've done across the district," Rohrer said. "Not just us, but the whole Deeper Learning team."

New said the experience was both exciting and validating.

"If you don't tell your own story, somebody else will," she said. "This gave us an opportunity to share what we've done."

The national spotlight highlighted the collaborative efforts of educators across Carroll County Schools and showcased how Panther Path is helping prepare students with the skills they need for the future.
