CCHS district nurses had Three Rivers Health Department come to the school to provide vaccinations to students. These include vaccinations such as TDap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Polio, Meningococcal and Varicella. These vaccinations are required by law. They also offered HPV. Those students whose guardians filled out permission forms were able to get caught up today thanks to the ongoing efforts of the nursing staff at Carroll County Schools and the help of our amazing Health Department.

Welding students from the Carroll County Area Technology Center excelled at the Logan Cooper Cutting Classic in Grant County recently. Ten of the top 25 were from the ATC. The results include: Lyric McKinney, second place; Alexis Molina, fourth place; Dillan Human, fifth place; Logan Perdue, sixth place; Houston Parker, tied for seventh place; Celia Tuttle, tied for eighth place; and Helena Guy, Christian Avila and Dawson Schluter tied for ninth place. The welders raced to see who can cut through steel the fastest with an acetylene torch. The competition is held annually in honor of a Grant County welding student who passed away in 2017. During the holidays, many parents enjoy coming to school to enjoy lunch with their child. The district welcomes parents and guardians into our schools, but we are unable to serve them lunch. Our food services staff only prepares enough food for our students and staff, so it is not prepared to serve additional adult meals. A shortage of food services staff also makes it difficult to serve additional meals. We welcome you to join your child during their lunch period, but please understand lunch will not be available for purchase by adults.
