
Eighth grade students from CCMS had the opportunity to tour the JCTC Carrollton campus recently. Students learned about electrical, welding, nursing and applied process technology programs offered at the community college.

The Carroll County Middle School academic team has advanced to regional competition.
The team participated in districts with the Quick Recall team placing second and three students placing in tests.
The academic team includes Brody Chowning, Keyla Hernandez Garcia, Hailey Pirtle, Maverick Johnson, Gian Zacarias Corona, Landon Martin, Kelsey Hash, Jace Shisler, Jonathan Pirtle, Gregory Humphrey, Dillan Davis and Aleeah Mercado.
The regional competition will take place on Feb. 10.
