Carroll County Middle School honored its students who achieved a Proficient or Distinguished rating on the Kentucky Summative Assessment. CCMS hosted a knighting ceremony for the honorees and each signed their name in a book to record their achievement.

Carroll County High School held an academic and athletic pep rally last week to recognize fall sports and students who achieved proficient or distinguished ratings on their state assessment. The CCHS student council organized the event, which was held on Panther field. Students also dressed in costume and awards were given for the Top 3 costumes. Those who earned a proficient or distinguished score on the Kentucky Summative Assessment signed their name on a banner that will be posted in the school. Congratulations to all of these Panthers! Carrollton Police Department Det. Dave Roberts spoke to middle schoolers during Red Ribbon Week about the dangers of THC, alcohol and vaping. He talked to the students about the unknown chemicals contained within vapes and the high potency of gummies and other items on the market that claim to not contain THC.

Fifth grade students in the CCMS gifted and talented program collaborated with students from Gallatin County. Students rotated through several stations focused on Life sciences. They were also able to pick a pumpkin from the patch and paint it, interact with students from Gallatin County in different learning games, and enjoy a nature walk.
