The sophomore class collected 148 cans during the annual canned food drive to benefit the Carroll County Food Pantry. Their prize was an ice cream party on Friday. The juniors brought in 134 items, the freshmen 66 items, the seniors 101 items and the MSD classroom brought in 89 items.
Students in Mackenzie Wrightās Ag Employability Skills class annually participate in a mock interview session with local business leaders. They write a resumĆ© then present it to the interviewer. Each interviewer scores the students after asking a list of prepared questions related to the job for which they are interviewing.

Panther basketball teams will be spotlighted at the annual Black & Gold Night on Friday, Nov. 22. Teams from Carroll County Junior Panthers, middle and high school will play. Come out and support these Panther student athletes!

Kathryn Winn Primary students loaded donated food onto a school bus that will be delivered to the Carroll County food pantry today. The school district has held a food drive all week to support the food pantry during the holiday season. We're so proud of our Panthers!
CCMS students learned how their choices can take them on good or bad paths at a Truth or Consequences program sponsored by the Carroll County Cooperative Extension Service recently. Students drew a scenario then traveled to different stations to learn their fate. They also experienced what it was like to function under the influence of intoxicants by wearing ādrunk goggles.ā This piece of the program was led by the Carrollton Police Department.
One of the many Project-Based Learning tasks is rebuilding the bridge that linked the grounds in front of the Carroll County Area Technology Center to the sidewalk along the Carroll County High School entrance. Students demolished the original bridge and are in the process of building new footers, erecting posts and support beams and ultimately building the new structure. The original bridge was built 30 years ago.



Carpentry students at the Carroll County Area Technology Center have been busy working on numerous projects.

A hands-only CPR session is being offered to members of the senior class. This is an initiative through a Project Based Learning class. If interested, go to the maker's space on Nov. 18 during first through third periods.

Congratulations to our high school and elementary cheer teams for successful competitions! The elementary squad edged out Spencer County to become the Kentucky Association of Pep Organization Sponsors Region 8 champion. They will compete at the state level on Dec. 21 in Elizabethtown. The high school co-ed and game day squads swept first place in the Colonel Classic.


CCHS art students participated in the second annual Paint the Plow program sponsored by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The plow will be used this winter by one of the trucks in the District 6 region, which includes Carroll County. The artists pictured include Savannah Wright, Helena Guy, Shay Richards, Keeley Stucker and Bailey Brock. Kyra Miller also helped paint the plow, but is not pictured. CCHS art teacher Jeremy Cobb helped the students create their design.
Several CCMS students learned how to weave at a workshop funded through the Arts in Mind Grant from the Northern Kentucky Institute for Arts Education. Norma Drish, from The Little Loomhouse in Louisville, was the guest weaver. Twenty-nine students elected to attend this arts enrichment opportunity, maintained good behavior and had no grade below a C for the first nine weeks.
