The team installed a new video management system from Hanwha Vision, known for its reliability, stronger security, and faster access to footage. āThe district has added six new servers that give us about 35 to 40 days of video that we can go back and look at,ā said Technology Director Zachary Morris-Dean.
The improvements increased video storage from 120 terabytes of space to 560 terabytes, which is a 366% increase districtwide.
This week, the tech team has been busy at the middle school, high school, board office, and ATC. Districtwide, they will replace 40 of the districtās 292 cameras during the duration of the project. The older equipment had reached the end of its life cycle and was no longer under warranty, making this upgrade both timely and essential.
