A new team of eighth grade mentors will join the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Leaders when school starts in August. The eighth graders work specifically with fifth grade students who are new to CCMS and might need some help navigating middle school life.
The members are Tanner Dukes,Braden Robbins, Kevin Vnetura-Morales, Dallas McGuire , Sebastian Gutierrez-Andrade, Johnathan Pirtle, Mason Carrico, Logan Kyle, Zander Webb, Tristan Barkley, Will Noble, Alan Wainscott, Alex Wainscott, Addyson Noble, Yocelyn Sanchez-Gomez, Melisa Reynoso-Lopez, Zury Nopal-Hilario, Katelynn Huff, McKenzie Roblero, Michelle Keen, Aria Renfro, Jaquelyn Clark, Araya Snow, Aubree Mercado, Emily McMurray, Kinley Harsin and Taylor Miller.

The Senior Class of 2024 completed its final walkthrough of all schools on Tuesday. Students lined the halls to cheer for their accomplishments and many shared emotional moments with current and former teachers. (More photos on the District Facebook page.)

The Carroll County Board of Education recognized the District Ambassadors upon completion of the program's first year. "They learned a great deal about all the operations of the school district," Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes said. "The goal is for them to go out and share that knowledge with others." Pictured (from left) are: Superintendent Jaynes, Robb Adams, Linda Davis, Deidra Hays and Torie Hewitt. Each attended at least four of the six Ambassadors meetings. Also attending at least one meeting were Paula Rice, Mandy Parker and Tish Chadwell.

Carroll County High School has named Seth Franklin as valedictorian and Ayden Taylor as salutatorian. A number of academic awards were given at the annual Senior Honors Day yesterday. More photos and a list of awards will be posted this week.
Carroll County Area Technology Center students made the most of their rainy field day on Friday by using their workshops and hallways for a fun day!
Work is underway both inside and outside of Carroll County High School to get ready for graduation on Saturday.
CCHS students and families, a fee will be assessed if you did not return your laptop and charger by today. The computer fee is $435 and the charger fee is $35. You may still return your computer and charger and the fees will be removed.

CCHS will host the underclassmen awards ceremony on May 22. Freshman awards begin at 1 p.m.. All other underclassmen awards will begin at 1:30 p.m. If you would like to attend, please arrive by 12:45 p.m. You will need to check into the office with your ID.
Cartmell Elementary Music teacher Melissa Staley led her final performance last night. The group presented Radio WRBC, which featured music through the decades. They performed a dress rehearsal for students on Thursday. (More photos on the District Facebook page.)

Carroll County Schools Nutrition Services will be offering a 10-day boxed meal kit to children ages 1 - 18. These may be picked up every other week starting June 3. Each box will contain 10 complete breakfasts and 10 complete lunches, all at NO COST TO OUR FAMILIES. All contents of the boxes are shelf stable items to help with limited refrigeration space. Please sign up to ensure we have enough boxes to meet demand. Sign-ups will run through July 19. Meal boxes cannot be shipped directly to your home this year. Kathryn Winn Primary's behavioral coach Alec Arnone took first place at the KWP's Got Talent show last week. Mr. Arnone danced as Koo Koo Kangaroo and the whole gym was dancing with him by the end of his routine. (More photos of the talent show on the District Facebook page.)
