Kathryn Winn Primary will host Doughnuts with Your Favorite Person on Thursday, Aug. 31, beginning at 7 a.m.
This program began last year with local business owner and Carrollton City Councilwoman Deidra Hays securing donations from NAS for two gatherings, one at Winn and one at Cartmell. She was joined by another business owner and council member, Linda Davis, who was the speaker for those events. Davis will also be the guest speaker at Thursdayās Doughnuts With Your Favorite Person.
Hayes said NAS has agreed this year to host the event for one school per month and will host for Winn, Cartmell and the Middle School the last month of the year. Sheās still pursuing interest at the high school. Doughnuts are provided through HOS Coffee.
āI think our main goal with these little events is just to give students and someone they care about a few minutes to enjoy their morning together and to listen to a positive speaker as they get their day started,ā Hayes said.
