Juniors! Do you want to some help with your ACT? Sign up for the Super Saturday Sessions! The Super Saturday sessions aim to help students feel more comfortable and confident tackling the ACT. These sessions allow students to work one-on-one or in small groups with content experts to help expand their understanding of English, Math, Reading, or Science. Super Saturdays also allow students to work on non-content issues like test anxiety and navigating timed tests. While priority registration is given to juniors, it is open to any student scheduled to take the ACT in the spring. Here is the link for students (or their parents) to sign-up: https://forms.gle/cz2QS9bCLNgzoDVy9

A few potential civil engineers were revealed recently when Project-Based Learning students constructed bridges and measured their structural integrity. A wooden bridge built by Justus Tharp, Elijah Dalton and Reese Gill held more than 1,200 pounds before breaking. Dakota Green and Garrison Brumback built theirs out of metal and it held more than 600 pounds. That bridge could have withstood more weight, but it could not be safely stacked on top of the structure. Another successful bridge was made by Alan Rodriguez Duran, Omar Zacarias, and Cristian Roque. They made their bridge from popsicle sticks and it held more than 290 pounds. (More photos on the district Facebook page.)
